چکیده

Introduction: This study aims to determine the teratogenic effects of electric mosquito repellents on mouse (Mus musculus) fetuses. The repellent used contains active ingredient dimefluthrin 0.566% (4.2 mg/matt) which was inhaled into pregnant mice during organogenesis period 6-15 days gestation. Material and Methods: A total 30 were divided five groups with six repetitions, namely C: Control group (without exposure repellent), T1: exposed for 4 hours/day, T2: 6 T3: 8 hours /day, T4: 10 hours/day. Parameters tested including fetal weight length analyzed using One-Way Anova then continued Duncan test. Live fetuses (%), dead morphological abnormalities (%) Kruskal-Wallis test Mann-Whitney Results: found that there no gross abnormalities, however hemorrhage skin surface. results showed significant differences (p<0.05) in fetus, live fetus (%). Discussion: highest rates death shown T4 treatment (exposed hours/day). Dimefluthrin enters body as a substance forms reactive oxygen species (ROS). Blood vessel cells are ROS have oxidative stress will be damaged even die so blood vessels become brittle break easily.

Teratogenic effects of silymarin on mouse fetuses

Objective: Silybum marianum has been used for centuries in herbal medicine for treatment of liver diseases. Currently, there is no data available on the possible effects of silymarin on fetal development. This study aimed to investigate the teratogenic effect of silymarin on BALB/c mice fetuses. Materials and Methods: A total of 40 pregnant mice were divided into 4 groups of 10 mice each. Three...

Gastrulation in Mus musculus (common house mouse)

As mice embryos develop, they undergo a stage of development called gastrulation [7]. The hallmark of vertebrate gastrulation [7] is the reorganization of the inner cell mass [8] (ICM) into the three germ layers [9]: ectoderm [10], mesoderm [11], and endoderm [12]. Mammalian embryogenesis [13] occurs within organisms; therefore, gastrulation [7] was originally described in species with easily o...
